A Smile From You

Sat in this lonely pool of midnight mire
I need my spirits to start moving higher
But for that I need someone to bring me help
To stop me feeling like an injured pathetic whelp
To remove me from this malignant soup
Going all out making my spirits recoup
Putting a massive smile accross my face
Then giving me back my rightful place
So I can then go and stand with everyone
Shoulder to shoulder my despair all gone
The person you see saved by your intervention
With a smile so wide of your invention
Again greeting the world with a joy in my heart
A smile on my face never again to depart
Out of the midnight mire forever I hope
But knowing you’re there I’ll hopefully cope
Forever keeping this wonderful smile
Made by you going that extra mile
