For this we give thanks
As we celebrate and enjoy the warmth of our friends and family on this thanksgiving day, let’s remember how much we have to give thanks for on this special day. Happy thanksgiving to all.

As the day comes closer for those of us who celebrate it, an idea came to me to feature various artists from around the country here on poetic money. So while browsing DeviantArt I came across this nifty piece of poetry by hopelesswithhope. Enjoy.
Now that it’s Thanksgiving time
I can bring out my ridiculous rhyme
To say what I’m thankful for
Because, you know, I’m so hardcore.
The first thing I’m thankful for
Is, of course, my life’s savior.
My boyfriend Jesse is simply amazing
And without him I wouldn’t be living.
The next thing that comes to mind:
My friend who comes when I’m in a bind.
Castro is the one who keeps me sane;
Why I’m a good person he can always explain.
But I’m thankful for all my friends
Because they love me to the very ends.
They can always make me feel special,
With their jokes that make me giggle.
I also love to read and write poetry
Even though I write it so awfully
And simply for inspiration
When it puts me into action.
I’m thankful for my laptop
It’s saved me from many a teardrop
And for all of my awesome music
Which makes my life easier to stomach.
And for all the little things
Like rubber ducks and oversized rings
Laughter, love, and paper cranes,
Jeans, jackets, and the rains.
I’m thankful for so much more
But I’m sure this poem is already a bore
So I think you get the idea
About all the things I’m thankful for

With all my newfound free time i’ve been doing alot of thinking. This site is growing far more than I ever thought it would and I can take no credit for this whatsoever. With lots of help from Jenn and all my readers and an entire list of new readers I say thank you.
So hopefully sooner than later Poetry 3.0 will appear with alot of neat new things.
Lately i’ve been noticing alot of spam, originating from 2 I.P addresses and its sad that people have no such thing better to do than to leave spam comments such as dkhijskhfsio. What brings a person to make a bot to do that I don’t know.
So my question today is, What do you want to see more of on the site.. vote in the pole thats located in the at the top of the right hand side of your screen.
Ever notice that nursery rhymes never really make any sense? They have a definite rhythm and rhyme scheme and they are just plain fun to read. One day while reading nursery rhymes to my daughter, I thought that I could do just as well writing some nursery rhymes. Hope you find them enjoyable.
Shiver me timbers
and crack me bones
I used to be limber
but now I need Doans.
Sweet little Carrie Berry,
loves her dairy.
She drinks it all day long
now she is big and strong.

Have you ever wondered where your hopes and dreams vanished to? Ever asked yourself how you ended up in such a emotional state?
I was thinking the other day and it hit me, that alot of things in life we go after are the very things that drain out the very essence of who we are. That brand new card will eventually drain you of your happiness, that new house in that very high end community, will sap you of your very dreams of a happy life.
Every action we make, every choice is a step that can determine our lives forever. So my question to my readers is this.
Where are your hopes and dreams?

its that day again here in the states
